  • H2 Slayer - BR+StormRifle, 1 frag, No sprint, No AA, 25 ktw, 90% DamRes, 125% recharge
  • H3 Slayer - AR+Mag, 2 frag, No sprint, No AA, 25 ktw
  • HR Slayer - DMR+AR, 2 frag, sprint, regu AAs, 25 ktw, 90% jump, 90% speed, 90% damage
  • Alien Slayer - "Elite slayer" loadouts, No sprint, 110% speed, 125% recharge
  • Style Slayer - Custom loadouts, style kills award bonus points, kills = 5pts, 125ptw

TL;DR

There's way too much Halo 4 info that I've not caught up on... However I do have news that I'm hoping to obtain a capture device to record gameplay!

Gameplay videos format of:
Game Title: [Map Name][Game Type] "Video Nickname" - MODE

The MODE will simply indicate what type is the video itself.

  • GAME - Standard gameplay, in-game audio only. 
  • LIVE - Includes in-party voices. 
  • PLAY - Regular gameplay with alternate audio overlay.
  • COMM - Commentary/review over gameplay.
Montages will be written as: 
Game ::Montage Nickname:: Gamertags/group

e.g.
Team 42 Tritage - 'Is what we do!' ...is now:
Halo 3 ::Is What We Do!:: Team 42

  • Spartan Points:: New currency in Halo 4, used to buy such things as armour, armour abilities, Spartan Op missions, etc..
  • Spartan Ops:: Four-player missions updated weekly and span over a few months. Using your multiplayer Spartan-IV to play through a unique story arc.
  • Sprint is default on spawn
  • Armour abilities:: Forerunner vision, Jetpack, Active camo and Hologram are the currently mentioned armour abilities.
  • Forerunner vision:: Allows the player to see through walls (vague...). 
  • Elites:: Not returning to multiplayer.
  • Grenades:: Supposedly four grenade types, fragmentation and plasma are two of them.
  • Firefight:: Supposedly removed and replaced by Spartan Ops.
  • Weapon drops:: Power weapons (in multiplayer) drop at random points on the map. 
  • No respawn delay:: Players can choose to respawn immediately after death. 
  • Join in-progress:: The ability to join matches in-progress. 
New features::
  • Regicide -- new game type:: Free-for-all with a twist. The player with the highest score becomes the 'king', the king increases their bounty (???) per kill, other players can aim to kill the king and claim the bounty (still can kill other players).
  • Carbine, Assault rifle, Battle rifle, DMR, Plasma pistol (assumed), Frag grenade, Plasma grenades...

Firefight returning?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N74p-JxJZgg - 10:00 mentions "competitive or something else", when mentioning maps in Halo 4, I can suspect than either firefight or another game mode will be included considering Frank O'Conner says 'or something else we're talking about later' ...speculate away!

Halo 4 perks

This source says Halo 4 will have multiplayer perks... how will this work? will it work? I'd like to see what they do with it.

If theyre adding progression system then perks would be a good idea, but as far as ideas go - this doesn't necessarily make the idea good/balanced.

Also from the first look vidoc - i saw what looked like plasma grenades on the HUD and I didn't see any indication of sprint having an icon.
Perhaps sprint is the only armour ability? despite I thought I saw a jetpack on some spartan's back.
